Opportunities at The Pauw Wow:

Writing Staff

Reporters start off as contributing writers and cover news stories about the university, the local Jersey City community, New Jersey issue, arts and culture, sports and higher education. After being published in three consecutive issues of The Pauw Wow, contributing writers become staff writers.

Photography Staff

Photographers and designers produce the images and graphics that bring the news to life while learning to use professional-grade equipment and software.

Copy Editing Staff

Copy editors review articles for accuracy and clarity, while also fact-checking and making sure all articles are up to the highest possible of standards before being published in either the print edition or the online edition.

How to join The Pauw Wow Staff

• Several information sessions are held at the start of each semester at The Pauw Wows offices in Dineen Hall, Second Floor. These sessions discuss all of the positions available at The Pauw Wow  in more depth and Pauw Wow staffers will be available to answer any questions that new and interested writers may have.
• Students of all class years are welcome. No prior experience is required and continuous training is provided for all positions.
